Shelf Re-Decoration: Fall 2012 Style

So I've talked about these shelves on this blog several times before. And when I Dad first installed them, it was with the intention of decorating them according to the seasons/holidays.

So here was the "Summer" themed decor . . .

. . . and now it is time for "Autumn" {I went a little pine cone crazy}.

 So far, I'm loving fall so much. Definitely, a leading contender for favourite season.

They Will Always Return....

The majority of the time, I sleep with my window open. This morning when I was beginning to wake up I heard the chirps and callings of birds!!! This means that spring has actually arrived. These beautiful creatures have finally found it safe to come back north.

This got me thinking about the changing of the seasons. Even though winters are long and cold and dark, we are always offered the promise of spring. The birds will always come back. Everything will be fresh and new once again. 

This gave me hope. Today is a new day. This spring is a chance to live life again. This year is a new year. 

Today I found my inspiration from birds.
