12/31 {Happy New Years Eve}

WE DID IT! 31 days of dresses, and guess what, no repeats for this girl!
What a fun and amazing challenge this has been!

So to be honest, I'm not 100% sure of the plans tonight, but I wanted to wear this sparkly silver number in celebration of the end of the year! I've had this dress forever and whenever I wear it, I shed buckets of sparkles :)

Flowers: Claire's // Sweater: Forgot
Dress: Forgot // Shoes: Le Chateau

Thanks for all the compliments and supports during this challenge! I've made many new friends and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Here is the full recap :)

A Very Happy New Year!!!!

Looking Backwards

I went through all my blog posts in 2012 {all 331 of them} and picked out some fond memories of this past year. I always forget experiences and progress until I go back and look at pictures. That is the main purpose of this blog . . . to capture snapshots of my life :)

Sister's Visit // Dyed Hair Red // Art Show // 3rd Year

So much has happened this past year, and I am so very grateful for every day and every experience. Thanks for sticking with me through a crazy, wonderful year.
Happy 2012!

365 Photos Recap: Best Picture

And the final winner is . . . No. 250: Tracking B & I!

Haha, congratulations to Brother & Bella for making the best picture of all three hundred and sixty-five photographs! I just love everything about this photo. I love the setting, the location, the people, the lighting, etc. I love that I know I shot this in manual setting on my camera, which is something I self-taught myself how to do throughout this past year. See all the pictures from their post here.

Well, so long and farewell to the 365 Photo A Day Challenge
Welcome to a new chapter on A Silver Snapshot!

365 Photos Recap: Most Meaningful Picture

And the winner is . . . No. 111: Father!

This photo means the most to me because of who is in it. It was just a perfectly captured moment
of my dad and his coffee. I love that I will forever have this photo. Read the whole post here.

365 Photos Recap: Saddest Picture

And the winner is . . . No. 321: Kate McKate.

The picture itself is not sad. It is all the details surrounding the picture that is sad. Maybe because it is still a fresh situation? Maybe because I still dearly miss her? Either way, this post makes me sad. Read the full story here.

UPDATE: Got to have a long conversation with her on the phone two nights ago. Not near as sad now :)

365 Photos Recap: Funniest Picture

And the winner is . . . No. 234: Changes & An Announcement!

I know the picture itself is not funny, but I found the story surrounding it hil-ar-i-ous! Basically, I posted this picture along with this huge story about how I planned to transfer to the University of Alberta in September for my final two years of school, except it was April Fool's Day! I was actually able to fool quite a few people with this post :).

365 Photos Recap: Most Popular Picture

And the winner is {believe it or not} . . . No. 218: DIY Hunger Games Project!

Yes, of all my photographs, this was the one that took all the money. I pinned the tutorial on Pinterest, and it went viral {as they say}. Haha, I guess it says something about people's priorities. And I did publish this post a couple of weeks before the movie's release. Anyways, you can view the entire post here.

365 Photos Recap: Farthest Away Picture

And the winner is . . . No. 190: The House That Built Me!

Can you believe that the farthest I went from August 2011-August 2012 was Creston, B.C.? As much as I love that little town, I am somewhat disappointed in myself at the lack of adventure in the past year. I mean, think of the photo opportunities I could have had. Oh well, read the full post here.

365 Photos Recap: Favourite Picture

And the winner is . . . No. 200: Introducing . . .!

This is my favourite picture of all three hundred and sixty-five photos. Why you might ask? I mean, it is blurry. The lighting is incredibly bad. And there is an awful glare. But it is my favourite because I got to take it when Brother moved here. And so started the adventure. Read the whole post here.
